We also highly recommend enrolling your puppy in training, this is a
really great way to get the whole family involved and also a good way
to be consistent in training and helping your puppy to be well
rounded. So, for a while now, I have been less than impressed with the
lack of consistency among dog trainers out there. I always recommend
to our puppy families to do puppy classes and encourage getting a
trainer, but often I find that not all trainers are equal in their
abilities or their training methods. We are very insistent on a
positive reinforcement training method here at Kent Family Farms.
While most of the trainers we have come into contact have been
wonderful, there have been a few we have been very unhappy with
training method wise with our puppies in their new homes.
I decided to reach out to Baxter and Bella and was greeted with
professionalism and could honestly tell how much they genuinely cared
about what they do, which means a lot to me. Probably the thing that
sold me the most on them is the qualifications of their trainer. She
was a school teacher (so knows how to write a good curriculum), that
has now become a professional dog trainer. She has studied Animal
Science at Utah State University, spent nine months training puppies
at Puppy Steps Training, apprentice trained for 18 months at GOOD Dog
Autism Companions and is now a professional trainer with their
organization. She studied with CATCH Training Academy and is a CTA
Certified Dog Trainer. She is also an AKC CGC Evaluator, professional
member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the
International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She uses a
science-based, positive and force-free training method, which is a
very important thing to me. She also notes on her website that she is
all about continued learning and is enrolled in a Masters training
program currently, which as you all know is important to me. Nobody
knows everything, and as breeders, trainers and puppy families, we
need to take new information and be able to learn, adapt and grow for
the betterment of our dogs.
The other thing that sold me on this company is they offer one on one
video training on top of all their regular material. You have a wealth
of information available to you, but also can make an appointment with
them to have a one on one training session, all included in their one
time fee.
All of that considered, we are thrilled to work with BAXTER & Bella.
BAXTER & Bella is a worldwide company that offers expert online puppy
training. Using our unique promotional code 'KFF' for 25% off of the
program, our families can enjoy lifetime memberships with BAXTER and
Bella’s continually expanding library of puppy training resources. We
still continue to support the use of local, screened and recommended,
in person training classes (once isolation is not required anymore),
but BAXTER & Bella is an affordable option that works with every busy
schedule and works while we are all at home. This program is
absolutely worthwhile for all puppy families and we hope you will
choose to give it a chance.
As always, we are happy to answer any questions that you have about
the program or anything else training related that we can help you
with transitioning your new puppy into your home.

We recommend getting started with Baxter and Bella right away before
your puppy even comes home, as they have a lot of material to go
through before you even get your puppy. I have also attached
