A note from Tessa's Guardian Home:

Tessa is a sweet and gentle addition to our family... She makes a great wrestling partner for our busy son, they chase each other around the house often. She's rough and tumble with our son but can switch in an instant to calm and protective for our daughter who has special needs and is in a wheelchair. Tessa often stops play to touch her nose to our daughter to make sure she's okay before continuing a game of tug of war. Tessa always seems to know when my other daughter is about to have her hair brushed, which she hates... we laugh because Tessa always shows up and sits by her and puts her paw on her leg. Tessa is the perfect family dog and my husband and I love how she always has to lay near our feet to be close to us. Even when I'm playing the piano, she lays at my feet. We didn't realize how much we needed her until she came! Tessa was a Christmas puppy who was initially named Joy, and she's been a complete joy to our family.
